Horror teaser trailers:)
The Orphan teaser trailer here is only 17 seconds long and is kept short and to the point in the length of time it is shown! It firsts shows the institution with the opening scene and then goes into dialog between the characters and you instantly see one of the main characters. There is a non-diegetic sound of the narrator throughout giving information about when the film is due out and the certificate age. They also use the narrator to entice the audience and make them look forward and want to watch the film when it comes out by short statements such as in 'The Orphan' ..'Discover the secret' entices you to find it out.
The shots are sudden and quick, and cut from one to the other, using the diegetic sounds of the thunder yet the non diegetic sounds of the piano to create and build up suspense.
Drag me to hell starts once again with the instutions logo as the opening shot. It then shows a close up shot of one the main characters with the narration once again running throughout and in this teaser trailer, introduces the director straight away and gives you ideas of films he has done before. It has the violin music in the background that builds up throughout the length of the trailer. The shots are quick, lasting about 2 seconds on each clip and leaves you wanting more at the end. It is again a short clip, only lasting 30 seconds so different from the normal length of a theatrical trailer.
