Codes and conventions of a romantic comedy.

When watching any movie there are certain features that we look for that help us indicate what genre the movie is. For our movie we decided to make a romantic comedy. One of the main codes and convections of a romantic comedy is boy meets girl, but the girl usually doesn’t like the male character. In most romantic comedies the male and female character are have major difference, the main one that is used in romantic comedies is the difference between the classes.
We decided to incorporate this into or movie because our main male character is from the country, whereas or main female character is from the city. She is a higher class than he is.
When they first meet each other they don’t get along because she is the stereotypical girly girl character and therefore cannot handle the country life. So they don’t get along with each other at first but grow to like each other due to their differences.
This is seen in many romantic comedies as the arguments between them usually generates the comedy in the movie.
