Teaser Trailer Batman

Although the trailer for the dark night is not the genre of movie that we are doing (Romantic Comedy), I decided to put up as a taster of what teaser trailers generally look like. After researching what a teaser trailer i noticed that teaser trailers were much shorter than the actuall theatrical trailer, which therefore does not show as much footage as expected from a trailer.
Most teaser trailers are released long before the actuall film has gone out, with hardly any shots from the movie as it is generally released before the shooting of the movie is done.

This trailer of the movie the dark night is a prime example of roughly how a teaser trailer is. As you can see from this teaser there are actually no shots used from the movie only the audio/dielect from the movie.
The teaser is short snappy and straight to the point. I think that the main reason to a teaser trailer is to create suspense and by using little or none shots from the movie this creates suspense.
The dark knight teaser create a lot of suspense due to the fact that we are given the smallest indications as to what is happening in the movie, we dont actually get to see what happens.
Also the choice of the dialogue that is used in a teaser trailer is very important as you want to give as little away but also give enough out to grab the viewers attention.
I think that the dark knight does well at this as it introduces us to all the characters through sound.

For the whole 60 second clip
