The ugly truth was released on July 24th 2009, starring Katherine Heigl and Gerard Butler.
The clip is about 33 seconds long so it is much different to a normal trailer that is upto a minute or longer. It flashes with the institutions Columbia and Lakeshore for upto one second. This then leads onto an elevator clip with the two main characters being revealed as the doors open with the diagetic sound of the elevator making the 'bing' noise while also playing a song in the background a narrator is also talking over the music. After this shot there is an animation of a stick girl with a heart on her head and next to it 'women' in bold black writing, apart from the 'wo' which is in red, red is symbolising love or an affectionate emotion which corresponds to the heart that is on the head.There are a few clips from the film that are actual film footage, of the main female character,on dates and dancing. This then goes onto a clip of the main male character sleeping and the animation flys in of the stick man, where the 'wo' falls off and the heart drops down the crotch. where a few clips of the main male character are shown from film. The narrator is still narrating and the date of the film releasal zooms in and zooms out to show a clip of the main charaters having coffee and saying dialogue then another zoom in of the word 'discover' as the narrator says it, another short clip of both main characters shopping the shot is over the shoulder. Then the title of the film zooms in 'The Ugly Truth' as the narrator is saying it. There are very quick snapshots of the film that are shown and the title of film is zoomed in again as the narrator says 'the ugly truth rated R in theatres everywhere, July 24th', while this is being said there is another clip being shown of the main characters play fighting.The clip ends here.
